Black Friday online sales reached a record $9.8 billion in the US this year according to an Adobe Analytics report.
With Cyber Monday deals kicking off today, that means even more online purchases.
Experts say to expect to see more cyber scams than ever before.
Your email inbox is most likely full of stores advertising their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, but cyber security professionals say not to click any links.
“They absolutely should not be clicking on links and emails this time of year for sure,” said Brian Ledbetter, a cyber security expert at GuidePoint Security. “Generally speaking, people should always go to the source of truth when it comes to e-shopping.”
